The AKS water-kut X3 waterjet machine ranges in a variety of sizes including 4’x5’, 6’x12’, 6’x24’ and 6’x36’, with 3-sided open cantilever design for easy load and unloading of large metal plates, for use in a fabrication machine center, metal service center, or job shop. Designed for high volume and fast production operations.
The heavy-duty metal frame has helical rack and pinion drives, with 800 i/pm traverse speed, and z-axis 10” programmable travel. +/-0.003″ per 3′ Accuracy of Motion. With Mitsubishi CNC controller and Taper Control System, the water-kut X3 allows the user to achieve the highest accuracy parts by angling and rotating the inherent waterjet taper “away” from the part straight edge. The TCS uses two additional axes of motion – angular and rotational – to maximize part edge quality and wall straightness. The result is a final part that is produced faster and with straighter walls, regardless of the thickness or composition of the material being cut.
